2014 national title predictions
« on: March 06, 2014, 09:29:17 PM »
With a little over 8 weeks till the start of the 2014 national titles week of racing.

Who has predictions on who will be the next junior and senior elite men and women.

What about our challenge class men and women who's looking the goods for a skinny digit?.

Who's got the form running into the nationals?

Who's out due to injury?

What has the track got to offer?

How much has  it changed since 2010?

Great thread. Elite men final will be stacked and absolutely world class. Gotta say, Matt Juster is looking unreal. He's my pick at the moment and will really make a name for himself. Along with Frieswyk who will be defending his national number 1. Going off the Nerang nationals, a couple of QLD'ers in the 15 boys class will be right up there, in Josh Boyton and Dylan Scruton.

Does anyone know if we will get any live racing from Perth next weekend ??

Anyone else got any pics for new number 1 plate holders ??

I'd have to agree Juster has been looking good on the bike.

Turner is looking relaxed and ready

I've heard a few of the pros may be a little sore after a sleemans training camp on the weekend

This weekend's Perth round will be a good chance to see whos looking the goods in the elite and Jnr classes, to hard to pick my winners just yet. ;)

Jayden Rice for 14 boys, the kid just has not stopped growing, and watching him race in A men the last couple of months he is looking stronger than ever. ;D

Tayla Robinson in the 8 girls is flying and she is my pick . ;)

We have been going over to Shepp for gates each week, track has not changed much, little tweak of the 3rd am straight, all else is the same.

Hello All,

Off topic I know but great to see the changes to the " Event Schedule". Crackers and Dynamites now Thursday morning and 20" class for the same riders on block 2 on Friday.

Well done!

Even though our Crackerjack team has not been selected yet my boy is already saying he wouldn't want to do two big days back to back. His focus is purely on his age class on Friday.

When you think about it, PreNats, Crackerjack & Age in 3 consecutive days is a big ask.

While we are making predictions I will go out on a limb here as it worked for Mt Gambier. 10 Boys Sam Thorpe.

From what I see the training going on in the west is showing big results.

I think the A team distro rider of Paul Thorpe will be wearing the skinny digit in his age

Wow. Round 3 and 4 of the national series has shown the form of out top riders.

Who can keep the momentum going?

The freeagent boys are certainly looking awesome
Will they be the next Aussie winners?

Boom ;)

Max and Bodi both looked unstoppable both days in Perth, they are my picks for Jnr and Snr elite, Their 1st straight pull was awesome, you had to be there :) :)

Caroline looked to be cruising, she is my pick for Elite Women.

This isnt a prediction i just would like a question answered.

Does the non uci classes at the nationals race as a seperate class and recieve seperate plates or do they race with the uci challenge classes? E.g 17+ women uci & 17-24 women non uci

Thanks

Yes, ALL valid classes, except participation* classes, get ranking plates.
This includes retro classes.

At the moments some classes have less than the minimum required of five (5) to form a separate class.

*particpation classes are:
- 5-6 Boy Sprockets
- 7 Boy Sprockets
- 5-7 Girl Sprockets
- Boy Mini Wheelers
- Girl Mini Wheelers
