Racing / Re: Road clip shoes for racing
« on: September 29, 2013, 11:25:21 AM »
All my kids ride with road pedals and cleats. The larger platform, the weight and the amazing Carbon Shoes that are available are far superior to MTB or BMX products. I have tried almost every combination of shoe, cleat and pedal and finally got to road setup as the ultimate setup.

People do say once you unclip on the road pedals it is hard to get in, my experience is that if you unclip your gone anyway. Road pedals like anything are easy once you get used to them. More contact with the pedal is paramount for power distribution.

My daughter wont ride anything else!

General Discussion / Re: Junior Cruisers - what's the point?
« on: September 29, 2013, 11:14:52 AM »
My kids all raced two bikes for track time, bike time and fitness, Cruiser class is something that super competitive kids like to do to try and fulfil that BMX craving for racing and competiveness,

As they get older the Champbikx and Dynamite Series limits them at major events as it can become too much on the bike and the cruiser class is not as important to them. My youngest two still ride cruiser at states and Opens, sometimes at Aussies depending on the format. As both will be riding Champbikx for a while, it does make it super tough to ride cruiser all the time.

Hope we don't see cruiser class ever taken away, it allows riders an opportunity to be versatile on a track.

Good to see Sam the Man take a win at Chula this morning. Also great effort by Matty Juster to make the semis. Well done to all the riders from Oz over there.
