Presentation over the line or not?
« on: September 29, 2013, 04:28:14 PM »
What do you think is better, receiving your award over the finish line or an awards ceremony after the racing is finished for the day? I'm only referring to open days and not state or national championships. Discuss.

Personally I'm in favour of over the line, with the exception being money classes and any kind of series that requires additional tallying.

However unless the finish line is very close to the scoring shed, it can be very hard to make it work.

Thanks for chiming in Crimson, you have a much better understanding of the issue the scorers face week in week out than i do, however waiting around in the hot sun for ages is annoying when i just want to get in the car and get back home.
I generally travel about an hour and a half to get to most race meetings in Victoria, but i feel for those families that travel from Shepparton, Warrnambool etc and have a 3 hour drive ahead of them.
