Number plate number size?
« on: November 16, 2013, 04:59:06 PM »
OK I thought this would be a simple one to find out, alas not so.
I have heard that the numbers on our plates are supposed to be 100mm high, but have looked at the BMXA and UCI rules alike but for the life of me can't see it stated anywhere.  Yes I may have missed it, does anyone have the rules that categorically show the minimum number size?
Or perhaps there is now no longer a minimum size, I say this because this years worlds cruiser plates numbers are a mere 63mm high?

Any help appreciated

Covered by UCI rule 1.3.075.

For BMX:
- plates should be 18cm tall and 25cm wide
- digits 10cm tall; 1.5cm line width

Note, UCI aren't always compliant with there own rules

Thanks BMX, I have now found the ruling based on 1.3.075, link below

I found it funny where you mentioned "UCI aren't always compliant with there own rules" I am sure we all know of several occasions where this is the case.
