Product Spotlight: Azur Zone Flex Helmet

Regulars at bmxultra.com will have noticed this site is almost 100% BMX race orientated, but every now and then we’ll slip in a product like the Azur Zone Flex helmet because we just love to ride. In Australia that means you always have to wear a helmet or risk either a fine from the PoPo. There’s always the obvious risk of serious injury no matter where you live or ride. Neither are fun, so we like to check out new products that will keep us riding, and enjoying all facets of BMXing, since we ride more than we race, so whether it’s cruising down the street, riding trails, doing sprints…you get the point. We will be taking a closer look at the Azur Zone Flex helmet in a product review a little later, for now though, check out the details.

Azur are a new brand on the Australian market who released their first products this year. They offer a range of products that are well designed and competitively priced.

One of the helmets in the range is a new BMX street helmet. It is called a Zone Flex helmet and its point of difference is that the foam inner is made up of sections that can flex, instead of being one piece. This makes the helmet a comfortable fit (the sectional EPS liner that forms the unique shape of each riders head) and provides plenty of air flow around the head, and it does meet Australian Standards.
