Ringmaster Images Bike Stand Decals

Ringmaster Images have been around since 1997, they are a pioneer and giant in the Australian Motocross scene. They started to expand into other action sports at the start of 2014. The Action Sports Decals website (www.actionsportsdecals.com) has been launched, it currently includes BMX, Karts, MTB and continues to grow.

Ringmaster Images seem to have everything covered in the BMX market. We’ve had a quick look at their fork wraps, helmet ID kits, and their Tuff Stuff protection, this review is of their bike stand decals. They have custom and pre-designed options for two of the most popular styles around; the Sinz metal stands and the THE plastic stands, they also have the ability to cover any other stand you might have.

Fitting The Decals

Fitting the decals shouldn’t be taken lightly. Your awesome, professional looking decals can look pretty ordinary if you don’t take your time to prepare the stand and apply the decals correctly.

The first step is to clean your stand thoroughly. Chances are you’ve had the stand for a while, it’s probably been knocked around in the back of the car and probably had mud on it and stickers applied to it. You want to clean the surfaces the best you can, metho for a good clean and then a wipe down with a damp rag, then finally wipe the surfaces with a dry rag, worked for me. (Ringmaster have some fitting instructions on their website with suggestions on how best to clean the surfaces.)

Once you have a clean dry surface you are ready to apply the decals. The Sinz style stand had three large decals, it’s important to get the alignment right. I found it easier to peel back a little bit of the backing paper and stick one edge down to get alignment right. Once the alignment looked good it was a matter of slowly peeling the backing sheet off and sticking the decal down to the surface. There is no need to pull the decal tight, it should follow the contours of the stand without any problems.

The Final Words

Sure a bike stand has a simple function, but why settle for just a plain vanilla bike stand, in a sea of vanilla bike stands, when you can part with $25-35 and give it that full factory look, and make it distinctly yours?

I’ve had two stands with Ringmaster Images Bike Stand Decals on them for about 18 months now. The colours look just as vibrant as the day I got them and they are still well and truly stuck down. The purchase rates up there with the best value for $30 (or so) I’ve spent.

  • 30-ish bucks to give you that pro look and make your stand scream “I love my bike” for years to come
  • The colours never seem to fade and the glue appears to stick forever, what more could you ask for?
  • The Ringmaster Images Bike Stand Decals are made to order. I haven’t seen a design I don’t like yet. The quality of the materials and the colours are second to none.
