STOLEN FMF MINI - PERTH NORTHERN SUBURBS
« on: March 10, 2009, 01:15:28 AM »

Hi all,
My little boys (5yr) 2008 FMF mini was stolen out of our front garage sometime Monday.
We are in the northern suburb of Currambine so if any bmxers in the area (ie Joondalup/Iluka/Connolly etc) see a black and white FMF mini with a RUSH industries custom plate #545 - Zac Butterworth, can they please get in contact with me.

You may have seen it at school, Cashies, the shops or at one of the local bike shops.
I will post photos shortly and and in the process of getting the serial number off the shop who sold it not 6 months ago. Any clubs who have new members (esp sprockets as this bike only fits a 5/6 year old) sign upcould they please keep an eye out..

As you may appreciate, the little boy is devastated and really doesnt understand why some people do bad things..  Cry

Many thanks

Matt Butterworth

Hey Matt,
I'll keep an eye out while I walk the dog around Iluka & get my boys to look around Beau Maris school in Ocean Reef.

In the interim we've got an ABD mini or an '07 GT micro Zac can borrow.

A friend of mine had his bass amp stolen a while back.  He made a point of getting to all the cash converters and other 2nd hand shops in his area for several weeks - in about the 3rd or 4th week it showed up in a cashies really close to home.  I recommend doing the same - not all theifs are 100% stupid and some will be patient enough to hang onto something for a while before they hock it in the hope that it all blows over and you stop looking.

Best of luck - really hope you get it back.  It really sucks when you use your hard and honestly earned cash to buy something special and someone else is so devoid of a conscience they steal it away from you.

yep done that thanks for the advice. Apparently all 2nd hand shops MUST (legislative req. in WA) advise police of new stock each day and they cross check against any items reported stolen. I had the serial number of the bike so hopefully it may turn up. Otherwise the insurance claim with take care of it.

Thanks also to those who sent messages and offers for loaner bikes - will def. be in touch
