Yeah even though I am a member , come to think of it a life member of Knox, Frankston is not bad at all. Yes the track is better than Knox, the lights are better than Knox. A little bit to go on the rest though.
Why is this so you may ask? Each club has a core group of workers and Frankston has 2 guys that stay at the track working long after the other 3 or 4 that have turned up to help have gone home. Paul and Nathan Evans stay working under the lights till 2 0r 3 am. Knock me down dead if we all had guys like that there would not be a crap track in the State.
So cranky , trackside, and jaythyn I hope you guys are just as inspired to get your own tracks up to scratch

If not accept the other tracks for what they are, including Knox.
Greg, sorry if I have offended you and the hard working team at Knox in any way, the purpose of my comment was not to put Knox down. Frankston's hard work and determination in getting their track up to the standard that it is now, especially compared to how it was a year or two ago is commendable.
I too, are one of those "core group of workers" you speak of and do my best [also] with a small team of co-workers to present the best track that we can and I fully understand the amount of hard work involved to maintain a facility, let alone improve it, that hopefully, people will accept for what it is. Most of the critisims directed to us have come from Knox members and I can understand that, Knox does have a bloody good facility. Not all tracks can be "the best". Knox has been on the top of the list since I have been involved with the sport and if another club can knock them from the perch, I say "bring it on" it can only benefit the riders and the sport in general. I'm sorry if you have taken this personally.
