The first thing you have to do is find some online space to store them.  (also known as a host)  I use a free hosting service called photobucket> www.photobucket.com
So get your self registered at photobucket and upload a picture or two. yes you have to put up with a certain amount of advertising etc but its reliable and free, I've never had any drama's with them.
once your picture is uploaded and you can see it in a web browser you simply (cntrl c) copy the web address for your photo and when your typing a message on the forum you hit the "insert pic" button.
the insert image button looks like this:

The you simply cntrl v paste the image link in between the image quotes like this:
"[i.mg]http://s83.photobucket.com/albums/j284/youralbum/your_pic.jpg[/img]"

thats all you need to do. by the way, that fullstop in the first brackets shouldn't be there..  Wink

ok Richo69 I see you've worked out how to create a photobucket account...
1. login to photobucket, upload your photo from the computer's harddrive.
2. then copy and paste the URL link of the uploaded photo to the Forum's post message box just to see if it looks something like this:

http://i193.photobucket.com/albums/z203/Richo69_album/matttom.jpg

now use the IMG button (second from the left lower line) and paste the link between the HTML tags.

great pic by the way:
