Awesome news Grin That will be an awesome Worlds event, being so close to home and hopefully on a track I saw pics of that has two first straights and an unreal layout. Cant remember where exactly it was though!

Will also make the Aussies that year super competitive as everyone will want to go to NZ! Wink

Thats the 16 who can afford it too!  Tongue

I bet anyone who makes the semis will be going though. You would want to make that Worlds event!

Can anyone remember which track I was thinking of with the two first straights and pro straights. Only built in the last few years I think!

Will it be an outdoor event or will the Kiwis go the whole hog and build an indoor track?

The track you asked about.....http://www.sunsetcoastbmx.co.nz/

Not much on...apart from a link to it's facebook page..

It's located at Collingwood Rd, Waiuku 2123...about 65km from Auckland

From Brett post, the 2013 Worlds are on a purpose-built track at Vector Arena, Auckland.

Awesome news, sure the Aussies in 2013 will be very tight.

I would think, depending on where the Aussies are in 2013, that for most east coasters it might end up cheaper doing the 2013 Aussie/Worlds than what 2009 was.

Seating wise the Areana looks great, the floor space looks small though. Could be in for a tight track but I'm sure it will be great.

Apparently the worlds will be held at Auckland, indoor at the Vector arena(Downtown).
Its a great venue, and there is heaps of accomodation nearby that was built for the Americas cup yacht race.
Cheers,
Steve.

ACT are going for a bid for the 2013 Aussies. It is the 100th birthday of the city, so we are hoping to run it in conjunction with that Wink Tuggers would be the likely choice as it is a huge track with a huge viewing area. It will also have the ACT's at Tuggers that year so it may be a Pre Event for everyone too! Grin
