We should take a leaf out of the selection process in the usa lot fairer than flying around the world to try and qualify with a heap of money spent Just my opinion

Cheaper to send a handful of athletes to chase UCI points than to host UCI SX events....??

USA is holding two SX (Class 2) events in 2011:

16-17.09.2011  Sarasota (USA)
30.09-01.10.2011  Chula Vista (USA)

Plus Continental Championships (Class 3):
12.2.11   ABA Gator Nationals   Oldsmar, FL (USA)

For 2010/2011 season USA also had the following events:
- 1 x Class 2 (SX)
- 1 x Class 3
- 3 x Class 4
- 22 x Class 5 events
- Nationals

For 2010/2011 season Australia had the following events:
- 2 x Class 4
- 4 x Class 5 events
- Nationals

Now the QLD govn is funding SX facility Oz is looking at hosting an SX event.

Dr Phil, the US still has to have as many guys as they can at the SX races as they are the races that will give the amount of spots given to each country for the olympics. They will then use their selection policy to say who will take those spots.
