 Dr Merkin's Boot's  " A BMX'er in jams is only a bmx'er , but in Dr Merkin's Boot's he becomes a PRO " The decade in which the Dr Merkin's Boot was born saw an unprecedented wave of change , new ideas , bmx upheaval and eventually white number pl8's . Along with this radical atmosphere came extravagant and of10 exotic race suits , which provided a rather incongruous backdrop for the infancy of such a functional boot . The white number pl8 was launched in the same year as the Dr Merkin's boot , and this single-handedly revolutionised many bmx'ers lives - within 7 years the " fad of side-hacks "and the intoxicating redolence of all things Gatorade was everywhere , but for now the plain , simple Dr Merkin's Boot was as far from yellow number pl8's as it seemed possible to be . So how did it make that change ? How did it transform from a novice boot that was at one point sold as a gardening shoe , into one of the definitive BMX icons of the 20th century ? It's a strange story ..... until this one and then !

Merkin8r (AKA DAVE CLEARY) What's the point of this thread?
I dont know Gordy, way too much one finger typing for Cleary. sorry Gordy but Jenko is right , I Dave ( dac39 ) Cleary am not the merkin8r . and besides i'm illiterate and do not work well with computer's . This will be one of few post you will get from me , I just wasted 18 min doing this . P.S. I think the merkin8r is one weird and funny person ! |

In The AA Pro In Black , The Merkin8r plays a single father and old BMX'r from way back . In order to attend to the affairs of the recently deceased owner of seeman center bmx club , The Merkin8r is forced to leave behind his young son and head to QLD . When he arrives , he's soon overwhelmed by the dark secrets that he uncovers as he learns more about the seeman center's history . The Merkin8r discovers that many officials have died amid mysterious circumstances and a AA pro dressed in black appears to have played an intricate part in all of these tragic deaths . The AA Pro is said to haunt the pro-str8 that soon takes center stage here . One thing's for sure , you don't want to encounter The AA Pro In Black .....

Many of us have been there at one time or another — using a yellow number pl8 that is causing us stress, maybe too much stress. There is potential for the yellow pl8 to fulfill our ideal, but something keeps it from getting there (it's dog ugly). We end up battling, at times to our own emotional detriment, to keep the yellow pl8 going even through a steady lack of fulfillment.
Sometimes we break it, glue it back together, frustratingly chase and fight for our yellow pl8 to look better, change,turn white etc. But the question keeps coming up — when is it time to put a end to yellow number pl8's and begin the process of moving forward, back to white pl8's .
No rider really wants yellow number pl8's. We put so much emotion, time and energy into building our race bikes, to put a yellow pl8 on it is just YUCK . But sometimes, in order to realize our own potential and also to satisfy our core needs and goals in life — as well as for our emotional health — ending the use of yellow number pl8's becomes the healthier decision.

Are all these examples of yellow number pl8's the result of coincidence ? Does anyone seriously believe that they are good looking , could there be any such coincidences ? To say it quite clearly once again , these are just a few of the examples , which could be extended almost at will . How much misery , hunger and destruction might have been prevented , if the white number pl8 had just been studied a little and taken into consideration ! If only The Merkin8r's warnings and admonitions had at least been used for further deliberations ! But The Merkin8r knew it in advance : nobody would listen to him ... |
