Well done and great job. Congrats to all the riders who pedal there guts out and made finals and to all the other riders ,better luck next year in Brisbane. What are your thoughts.
highlight #1.......Hayden Fletcher #4A 14 Boys highlight #2.......Hayden Fletcher second in Champbikx Round 7 highlight #3.......Hayden Fletcher third overall in Champbikx 14 boys
I bet you are still smiling.
"and lastly" as end of News story...... 50+ rider, Peter Rice, was rolling down the road with HRV on Thursday evening. Peter and HRV were riding into the setting sun. Unfortunately the sun blinded a driver following behind. Peter was hit by the car and launched into the air; somersaulting over the car. Peters bike was catapulted past HRV.
Luckily Peter and bike only had minor injuries, although he found riding easier than walking on race day. Peter ended the week with 1A on 20inch and 1A on cruiser.

Todays (Monday 23 April) weather in Mt. Gambier: - max 15C with showers
I can't believe how good the weather was for the 10 day window of pre-nationals to cruiser finals.
On issues that we can control. 2012 Nationals were excellent, great track, preparation and maintenance, well organised and adminstered.
The infrastructure and facility were very impressive and represent a fantastic legacy for the region.
I look forward to returning for 2012 SA v VIC event and the 2013 South Australia State Titles.
Congratulations to all invloved.
Specific credit to individuals involved in providing on-line scoring systems (Lyndon Downing and Martin Brown) is well deserved. The BMX Points Cafe and on-line results are a great advancememt in our sport and well used (over 30,000 hits on ezeventings website before Sunday). This functionality puts Australia way ahead of other nations.
We stayed in the same accomodation as the first aid support. From what I saw, NFA were very professional and performed very well over long days, thanks.
We have been to 11 australian Championships and I have to agree with with the above comments. This was the best Aussies I have been to. Blue Lake club did a fantastic job. The venue layout was great as you could access the pits, spectator areas, food and pro shops without hassels. Car parking was the best due to the are they had to use. I dont reacon I have seen as many people around the track watching all the racing. Cairns, lake Mc and Shepp were good but I think this was better. Most, if not all of this was due to the Blue lake Club. "WELL DONE GUYS"
Just had a look at the full results for 40-44 20' (my class, if I'd raced) on ezeventing. It shows Craig Walczuk finished the motos on 14 points and Shane Jenkins finished on 12. Yet Craig got the last transfer spot to the semi's and Shane missed out!
After 6 weeks & many trips to the Docs I have finally been given the OK to ride / race again.
THis has been a very doggy doo-dooty 6 weeks since my fall at Nats. Have lost a small amount of memory & have basicly been tired & slow everyday until the last week. For a while I honestly thought that part of my brain was left at Blue Lake. It scared the doggy doo-doo out of me!!!
Apparently it was a concussion that normally ends careers.
