INDOOR AUSSIES TRACK
« on: March 20, 2012, 11:02:09 PM »

So, when will Australia have an indoor Nationals or major race indoors again?

Why have BMXA locked in the Nationals at Sleeman for those years, like they did with Adelaide?
With Adelaide, at least it was indoors, you knew it was going to be a different track every time and wasn't prone to being washed out.

Brits have an awsome indoor SX track - http://www.redbull.no/cs/Satellite/no_NO/Video/BMX--OL-Oppkj%3Fring-med-norske-Andr%3F-Aguiluz--021243157995126

Australia....... outdoor, outback country!!

Can do Campbell will give us the money to put a roof over sleeman. He loves to spend money, only problem is gate starts will be $50 a session to pay for it. That would be a big roof. I can hear people laughing but i have heard whispers from people who like to tell tall tales.

There are thousands of unused factories around the country that could take a track as long as it didn't have a 5m+ start hill. easy to fit an American style track in one. Just need a weathly  person to donate one to a BMX Club. Wink

What would it take, for state association to rent one out for a few months, etc etc
Must be a few grants floating around to hold a major event in ya state?

Oh, thats right too hard, just trash a local track and take all the cash.... its easier!!

Trash a local track?? not sure if you had been to Shepparton before the National a clp yrs ago, or have you been to Blue lake??

If those tracks and facilitys are what you are left with, then I say go for it!!.
