Most clubs use their web sites to communicate their club racing details, jump on http://www.bmxaustralia.com.au/default.asp?MenuID=Find_a_Club/20482/18929, go to ur state look at the clubs near you and see if the details are on there.

Hi Eliza, I'm from the Geelong BMX Club and we advertise our race dates on our website and give updates via Facebook and email. Most clubs do the same or similar. If would also be a good idea for you visit your local club to have a chat with one of the Commitee members, they will be able to assit you with any enquiries that may have and how to get started etc. Good luck BMX is a great sport with tremendous opportunities to participate and meet some awesome people along the way.
