National Challenge Series??
« on: January 16, 2013, 10:19:20 PM »

If I ride 30+ Masters in the new National Challenge Series that runs along side Pro / Champbikx do I have to ride 30+ Masters at Nationals?

I can not find anything that says I have to.

Normally I would ride 35-39 Men but this year I want to ride 30+ Men (not Masters) at Nationals.

UCI rules are specific about Championships classes (Jr. Elite and Elite).......

Probikx is UCI sanctioned, so if you enter Jr. Elite and Elite you have to ride that class for the rest of 2013, including 2013 BMX Worlds.

That is the reason why 17-24 and 30+ Masters has been introduced to the National Series that accompanies Probikx (this is BMXA sanctioned).

If you want to compete at the 2013 Worlds, then you will have to enter a UCI class at Nationals.......for 20inch there are two only choices for over 30 men:
i. 30+ Master
ii 30+ Challenge

There are more options for cruiser classes for male classes (unfortunately not for Women... Angry)

Thanks GK.

I just wanted to make sure that if I rode 30+ Masters at Westside in a couple weeks in the National Challenge Series that I was not committing myself to race 30+ Masters at Nationals.

I want to ride 30+ Challenge at Sleeman.

This is good information as I was also wondering the same thing.

I plan on racing the National Series in Canberra in the 30+ Masters but only wish to race in the 30+ Challenge at the Aussies this year.

Thanks

Have just spoken to Lauren at BMXA.

She said that you are free to race whatever class you want at Nationals if you race 30+ Masters in the National Challenge Series.

All sorted then.
