If you don't like US commentary / focus.....try these too:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/olympics/2012/live-video

Hopefully the BBC won't be access restrictions like eurovision TV

If you have an iPad and know someone who has Pay TV, download the app (follow directions on Foxtel or Austar website / through iTunes) and use their log in details.  As long as you have an iPad with 3g coverage or wireless hookup.

Good find but all those links say they cannot be accessed in Australia.  I have the same problem trying to watch UFC.  Surely there is live coverage somwhere on the internet that can be accessd in Australia.

Anyone else notice the jumps down the middle between the 1st and 2nd straights, looks like they might be having a dirt jump display between racing.

if you want to watch the BBC streaming, try unblock-us.com
You can trial it for 7 days for free, (I waited until Sunday before I started my trial so I could get the BMX coverage in)
This service will disguise your I.P. address so the website you are streaming from thinks you are in the right region.
The BBC website is streaming all the sports live, but I am finding a bit of lagging. Bound to be better than watching it delayed on channel 9.

Its become apparent that Channel 9′s coverage of the Olympics has been questionable at best, and that the BMX won’t be telecast on free-to-air TV. For those that have Foxtel, no dramas, but what about those that don’t? Well, you’re in luck!

After doing some research, there appears to be a few websites on the internet that are streaming the Olympics live. Whether they are doing it legally or not is yet to be seen, but either way, there are live streams available.

So for those without Foxtel, you are not without hope! A couple of the links below are advertising that they will be streaming the BMX live. The quality may not be the best in the world, but for those without access to Foxtel, it sure is better than nothing.

And for those that are a little tech savvy, if your PC/laptop has a HDMI out option, you can easily connect it to your TV, enable full screen on the web stream, and voila! Olympic BMX streaming live on your big screen!

Check out the below link and get ready to cheer our guys on, live!

got my IQ all set to record, but wondering if it was possible to get the recordings from the IQ box onto a USB/PC? or might be able to record straight to USB?

would be good to have the racing accessible so it can be viewed or downloaded in the future.

Race format below.

http://www.london2012.com/cycling-bmx/event/women-bmx/competition-format/

The men's and women's events at London 2012 both start with a seeding phase: each rider runs the track once to determine the seedings, which ensures that the fastest riders don’t meet before the final.

The women progress straight to the semi-finals and the men’s event continues with the quarter-finals, which are held over five runs, with points for places on each run. After three runs, the best two riders from each quarter-final progress to the semi-finals. The remaining riders compete in the final two quarter-final runs and the best two from each quarter-final also progress to the semi-finals.

From here, the semi-finals in both the men’s and women’s events follow a three-run format. The top four riders from each semi-final advance to the final, where the medals are decided over one run.

Find out more about the Mens' BMX Cyling and Women's BMX Cycling competitions at the Olympic Games on the International Olympic Committee website.

I wonder what time to stop my recorder for the first day.
