Why has this forum completely died ?? BMXUltra is the best bmx site in Aus in my opinion, and it would be good for the forum to also generate traffic and bmx discussion !!

General Discussion / Bike Check

Very cool idea to add something like this to the site. Lets see everyone's rides. Cool bike to kick it off too. Interesting to see someone running old school chromo frame and flats, but then going with carbon cranks. Is carbon going to make a big showing this year with all the carbon frames that are slowly becoming available as 2014 kicks off??

General Discussion / Nerang International
« on: December 17, 2013, 09:47:33 AM »
I am new to BMX, but jumping in feet first and am going to race Nerang. Can someone explain please how the three day event runs? I have read the flyers etc, but can't work it out. Does everyone race on the Friday, or just the pros? And are the age (Challenge) classes run on both the Saturday and Sunday, or are they broken up as two separate events, eg. Round 1 and 2? Thanks in advance.

Was a good read. What is everyone's opinion on frame materials. I think some of the new carbon frames look amazing. Yet to ride one though. I love my V3 Envy. Was surprised, but happy to see it tip the scales as one of the alloy lightest frames going round. Will we see a big influx of carbon framed bikes over the coming months? Has anyone here got a good amount of time on a carbon frame yet ??

General Discussion / Modern Track Design

I am only recently back into the sport, but am having a blast riding again. Have been out riding several different tracks across Brisbane over the last few weeks, and noticed quite a few tracks really lipping up jump faces a lot more than they used to. Is this a common trend lately with the development of the Supercross style tracks and the Olympic spec tracks becoming more popular? I much prefer the tracks that have good rhythm and flow and allow different lines and combo's through sections. Some of these sections I have ridden lately only really allowed one line and if you got it wrong, expect to get bucked and squirelly. Is this current trend happening across Australia??

General Discussion / Shoes for flat pedals

I know a lot of guys here are running flats. What shoes are you guys running. I bought a set of FiveTen Freerider shoes today and they have an awesome level of grip. Super comfy too. If anyone was thinking about some new shoes, I can give these a very high recommendation.

Hi. Looking for a new bike. Haven't had a 20" for a couple of years and just been riding my cruiser. If there are any good 20" for sale I would be interested. I am in Brisbane. Thanks in advance.
