ok,Saying that the zones shouldn't exsist is a bit silly. They are the ones who try to fight for the riders.Just imagine if BMXQ was in charge of the whole state and there were no zones....Those who have been in the sport for a few years know that would be a bad thing.....
Please don't give the volunteers any grief,we need them to survive,I recon they all do a great job.Occasionly they might get something wrong but, hey,we are all human.
Like Big Block said step up and be a volunteer.Even if its a club level.
I could name a few names,if they left all at once bmx in sq would be in trouble....we need more new volunteers.
i won't go on any more...

And ezeventing...Moggy
The reward for racing the shootout is racing its self. The competition in my group is just as tough as the state titles imo and every race counts.
Little return for your money? You have to realise that if 15 kids do the 5 rounds to qualify then that is 15 prises given out not just 1st,2nd and 3rd as would be on an open day.
Each day is just as long as most open days.Thats means that bmx is alive and well in SQ.
The money rasied by this event is put back into bmx,not just pocketed.

well i like the shoot series, some really tough racing and every race counts..can't wait for round for Vic.6 races in 9 days? you can have that!!!! to hard for this old fella.ha!
i guess transponders will be compulsory sooner or later.thats ok it will be good for the sport and for self development.cost is a bit high when there are a few family members involved and riding 2 classes..

General Discussion / Re: Modern Track Design

i have always said FLOW =FAST=FUN...some tracks seem to be taking the fun out of racing by making them way too technical.if you have to put your brakes on or clench your butt in a race then something must be wrong.i don't like the idea of a pro straight being the favourite line out of a corner.i race bmx not super cross! maybe there should be separate qld state titles? one held at sleemans and one at a club track....however i do like a track that has variety and some safe but technical some tracks the track builders don't even ride, which i think is a bit silly.
i agree some kids will need these more technical tracks to further develop thier skills however the regular club members far out number these someone else said we can't build a track for 1% of members...
