Yeah, in the overall scheme of things, the way the Vic race meetings are done is pretty OK.
What you do have to realise though is that putting those of us in our higher 50's or even older against clickhead 40 year olds is a serious disincentive to racing. These guys havn't worked out yet that we don't bounce like we used to and are a serious risk to themselves and those around them. And if I'm one of the ones around them, I won't race.
But at least it usually only takes a year and a collarbone to get them to settle down and work on skills more than testosterone.
But leave the classes as they are, it is certainly better to be in big classes and having to work to get in a final than riding against the same 4 or 5 blokes all year.
