UCI BMX Ranking
The ever more important UCI BMX Ranking is in full swing on all four continents. While it’s coming to an end on the southern hemisphere, it’s just getting hectic in Europe and North America. A new feature for this year is the Junior Men and Junior Women ranking, and although the Junior riders does not compete for the overall ranking prize money of 30’000 Swiss Franc, their presence will be highly important leading up the 2008 Olympic Games.

Continental Ranking – North America
After 5 of the 10 rounds completed, the North American ranking is lead by Mike Day (USA) on 42 points; closely followed by Robert De Wilde (Netherlands). It will be a tight race through the Canadian UCI rounds leading up the NBL Stars’n Stripes National at South Park, PA. In the female division, the 2004 Junior World Champion, Kimberly Hayashi (USA) is leading, but her arch rival Samantha Cools (Canada) is not far behind and will gain momentum once the series hits Canada.
Continental Ranking – Europe

25/05 Factory Hyper retains sole possession of NBL team title chase lead
Hyper press release
Carlsbad, California – The Number One team in BMX, Factory Hyper / No Fear / Tangent, went into the NBL’s Heartland National in Akron, Ohio tied for the NBL’s National Team lead. After sitting atop the points chase all year, rival Dan’s Competition tied for the lead after splitting wins with Hyper at the East Coast national in Egg Harbor, New Jersey. The tie didn’t last long as Hyper racked up twelve wins on their way to two first place team finishes in Ohio, thanks to hard work from Hyper standouts Anthony Derosa, Samantha and Sinead Miller, Doug Hayes, Justin Posey, and Jud Ciancio. Next up is the NBL Tarheel National at Tanglewood in North Carolina this weekend. With only a few nationals left in 2005 and the NBL Grands right around the corner, the NBL National team battle is heating up and there looks to be a team showdown brewing for Louisville come September. One thing’s for sure, the Factory Hyper crew is ready to three-peat as NBL champs in ’05!

On the ABA side of things, Factory Hyper rolls into Oak Creek BMX in Roseville, California for the Spring National this weekend. Coming off two huge (and needed) wins at the US Nationals last month, Hyper has been against the wall in ABA competition all year with injuries and this race is no exception. Although the team gets ace 14 expert and current NAG #1 Ben Kubalak back from an ankle injury, Hyper standout Bobby Edson is out with a shoulder injury sustained in San Bernardino. This once again leaves the team with limited team sheet options. A bright spot, though, is the return of Mike Lundy to team competition. Mike has dominated early in 2005 and there has been much speculation about his debut in the Pro ranks. Could Roseville be the place? Only Lundy knows. With a team roster that includes 4 time ABA National #1 Alise “The Beast” Post, World Champ Lahsaan Kobza, current NAG #1 Chad Kerley, and 4 time world champ Jacob Abbe, Hyper is still in an enviable position.

In other news, Hyper’s new Assault lineup of superior race frames is flying off the shelves. And at an unbelievable price of $249, you’ll still have money left in your pocket to actually go racing. With ten 20” sizes from Ultra Mini to Pro XXL and five 24” sizes from Mini to Pro XL in stock now, Hyper has you covered – Novice to AA Pro, Boy or Girl, Old School or New School, age 3 to 93. Built from ultra strong 6061-T6 double butted aluminum, the Assault frame gives you ultimate handling with geometry designed by the best team in BMX. With internally relieved headtubes incorporating superior FSA Orbit Z internal headsets, a CNC machined Euro bottom bracket, CNC machined 4D dropouts, and a low profile standover height, the Assault frame line is a definite must have. All Assault frames are available in Factory White, Midnight Black, Flamin’ Red, Hyper Blue, Hyper Orange, and Ultra Polished and the NEW Assault colored sticker kits are available in Flamin’ Red, Airborne Blue, Sunburst Orange, and hot Ultra Pink. Get yours today!

25/05 MCS Bicycles Dominates Florida Series...
MCS press release
Well, the 2005 Florida State Season has come and gone. This years championship race was held at St. Cloud BMX. Which is located in St. Cloud, Florida, about 30 min. South of Orlando. The weather leading up to the weekend didn't look to promising. but the rain held off and the SSA was able to pull off the 187 moto event with hardly any delays.

The team came into the event in first place. The championship race is double points so anything could happen. Everybody was having a great day. The track wasn't too hard so the speeds were up and the moto's just flew by. Then we got down to it, main event time! With the caliber of the other teams in the series (J&R Bicycles, IC Bikes, One Bicycles, FMF/Extremeathletes.com and Dingo Bicycles) it wasn't going to be a cake walk. When the smoke cleared we finished 2nd on the day, just four points behind J&R Bicycles, and first place for the series.

It was a great season for everyone. Aaron Cartwright took home two number one plates in 10 Expert and 10-11 Cruiser. Bryan Kipp, who turned 12 on the day of the championship, killed them in class and 12-13 Cruiser, for double number one's. Jonathan Villa un-clipped down the hill and was able to work his way back to 5th place for a #2 plate in 18-21 Expert. Our anchor man, Raul Gomez, came through with a double in 30-34 Expert and 30-34 Cruiser, for another double #1 State Plate.

A special mention goes out to our Pro's, Amanda Geving and Jonathan Suarez. Amanda, in her rookie year, has been able to pull off the #1 plate in Pro girls. Taking the lead on the first straight and never looking back. She has a very bright future ahead of her. On the male side of the spectrum. The Pro men's class was billed to be a showdown. The talent pool runs deep in Florida. "Mosquito" was able to come from behind, in one of the best races we have seen in a long time, to take the lead into the last turn and bring it in for the win and the title.

This year was great! We had an awesome time at every event. I would like to thank the SSA for giving us an opportunity to compete as a team. All of the "Money" teams (J&R Bicycles, IC Bikes, One Bicycles, FMF/Extremeathletes.com and Dingo Bicycles) for another great year of competition. Most certainly our sponsor's who make it possible for us to do it; Answer, Odyssey, Profile, Sun Rims, ATi, UGP, Hammer, Maxxis, Cane Creek and Diatech, you guys are awesome. Thank you very much!

That's four in a row. Let's hope we can make it five next year!

Again, Thank you for the support!

23/05 BOOTES Wins Hinterland Open
TeamWBR.com press release
Sunshine Coast, Qld - Hinterland BMX Club held their Open Day this past weekend at the Sunshine Coast of Queensland. This was considered the pre race for the up and coming South Queensland Championship which will be held on June 25th and 26th. The weather stayed fine all day and the track was really fun to ride. The Club is still in the process of making all the jumps bigger, which will make it a more challenging track come time for the Championships. BMX Queensland also made this event part of their Pro Rider Clinic Tour. Glen Codega and Wade Bootes were ask to conduct the clinics on behalf of the State Coaching Director in the quest of BMX Queensland helping with the development of their riders. There were over 50 riders that signed up for the clinics, which were then split into 3 sessions and ran over a 5 1/2 hour period. All the riders had a great time and all showed signs of improvement. The clinics are also designed to have new coaches observe and gain experience to finally have enough qualifying hours to become accredited BMX coaches themselves.

Racing was tough in the AA pro men as we had a bunch of National BMX squad members from Australia and New Zealand battling it out for the prize money. The racing was exciting to watch as the riders were going super fast and making moves on each other all night just to make it to the finals. Julian Limm had a huge crash in one of the moto's after hitting a soft spot on the track and went flying over the handle bars, there was also some crashing action with riders taking in the minor spot in the moto's. Final time seen Bootes, Kamakasi and Limm drag racing down the first straight. Bootes had the lead going into the first corner and started to pull away down the back straight. Codega was moving his way through the pack after hitting the gate at the start. Joel Clarke was showing his home club advantage and was closely on the wheels of Kamakasi and Limm. Kamakasi held the lead over Limm and it seemed that the Aussie boys were to strong this week for Stratford who is over from New Zealand preparing for the up and coming UCI events.
1st Bootes TeamWBR, 2nd Kamakasi, 3rd Limm, 4th Clarke, 5th Codega, 6th Stratford (NZ)

South Queensland has the majority of the top riders in Australia and the South Queensland Championship will be a great race to watch. The next stop on the tour will be round 9 of the UCI World Ranking Series at Lake Macquarie, NSW June 2nd and 3rd, were we will see all the top Elite riders chasing points and preparing for the World Championships come July in Paris, France.

19/05 BMXUltra.com at Akron Ohio Part 2
By BMXUltra.com
On thing I noticed about racing in the US, both the riders and the officals seem more relaxed than back in Australia. Don't get me wrong they are still all very serious about their BMX, they just seem to get a long better. I think it might have something to do with the over the top, and down right anal, rules we have in Australia. In the NBL you can choose to race with pads on your bike, it's also the riders choice to use gloves, heck I saw one guy racing with his long sleeves pushed right up his arm so you could see his elbows, rolling your trouser leg up to keep it out of your chain is not a problem, and, wouldn't you know it, you don't have to tuck your jersey in to your race pants. Oh and how's this for a novel idea, once you cross the line your all done, there's no lining up in your positions.
Back into the racing on Sunday, the remainder of the mains were held first thing in the morning, they had started at 8am so Sunday's racing was going to be a 2 moto transfer system for the am classes again. I pulled a couple of firsts in the motos and another fourth in the main. I had a better start and felt better on the track that was much faster as it seemed to dry a lot. On the second jump in the first straight I clipped one of the other riders and we both nearly went down. I got the bike back into a straight line and pulled into third, but left a 6 inch gap open on the inside of the third corner, which was enough to cost me a place.
In the Elite Open class Travis was having a hard time, he was getting shut down out of the gate, where he seemed to be struggling all weekend. No one seemed to really stand out in the motos. Streiby wasn't racing, he was promoting the Woodward BMX training camps that wil be held in the US summer break When the gate dropped in the main Kyle Weisenberger got a snap from lane 8 and pulled to the lead early. Turesson was shut down again, he fell back to 7th but worked his way through the field and back into fourth by the finish line. Kyle had won again.
After racing I cashed my trophies in for some BMX bucks, headed over to Fizz'z Bike Shop and bought a euro bb for one of my projects. I can't believe the price difference for some products. I paid $US35 for something that has a $AUS120 price tag.
I'd like to thank everyone for their help over the weekend and for being so friendly, especially the guys that I raced against. I headed off to Boston for the next 2 weeks for work, but I look forward to returning to the US to get some more races in, hopefully end June or early July.

18/05 BMXUltra.com at Akron Ohio
By BMXUltra.com
Akron is about an hour drive south of Cleveland in Ohio, the track is located right next door to the "Rubber Bowl", the former home of the Good Year blimp. Like every NBL track I have raced at it has great facilities and not a bad track. It wasn't highly technical, it didn't even have huge jumps but it was a fair track that would even the playing field for the sprinters and those who prefer more technical tracks.
I flew into Akron from Melbourne via Los Angeles and Cincinatti, spending about 20 hours in the air and 4 hours in departuire lounges. After a good sleep on Thursday night I hired a car, drove to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland, then headed back to Akron for the 4pm training session. It was a nice warm sunny day but storms were on the cards. The first person I saw when I got to the track was BMXMania A Pro Brian Streiby who I had spent some time with back in '00 when I did some racing. Brian introduced me to Kyle Weisenberger from Kentuky who races for Fizz'z Bike Shop.
After a few laps and a couple of gates I started to feel comfortable on the track but my legs were tired. I was keen to race the pre-race, but my legs weren't up for it. So I hung around watching the racing and talking with Brian. As the race finished the sky had darkened to almost black. NBL officials saw that this was the storm that was scheduled to hit and covered up the track. Nothing could have prepared us for what was about to hit. As the storm approached it had stirred up a dust storm ahead of itself. First the dust and the wind hit, knocking over porta-loos, tearing number plates from bikes, blowing the covers clean off the track, destroying canopies and tents (there were a number of people camping around the track), the pro shops were also hit hard their tents and stock being blown around. Then the rain hit, it rained for the next few hours, then backed off, then a second front came through. Racing on Saturday looked doubtful at best.
Saturday's practice was delayed as track official were working on getting the track ridable again. It looked in good condition considering, it was a little soft and there was more rain on the way. Bob Tedesco seemed adamant that racing would go ahead, even after the 14 and Over practice session was cut short because of another heavy down pour. A short wile later the practice sessions were recommenced and it was announced that racing would be a 2 moto transfer system. It was during this time I bumped into fellow Aussie, Diamond Back's Travis Turesson, it must have been the first time I had spoken with him in a few years, but it sure was nice to hear another Aussie accent. He was the only AA Pro to show up and race the "Elite Open class" the rest were A Pros, or Superclass riders as they are called in the NBL.
Kyle Weisenberger got an early lead in the Elite Open main, Travis had a bit of work to do to make up the ground he lost from a sluggish gate. He slowly pulled Kyle in and in the last corner he looked like he was in a position to strike pulling up along side Kyle down the last straight, but he looked to run out of legs as the approached the line. Weisenberger took the win with Travis a close second, Brian Streiby and Dave Bitner (another A Pro I met on my last visit) were in the main as a well.
I raced 30-34 Expert Men and finished with seconds in the motos, but could only manage a fourth in the main...it was just too hard to get across from lane 7 to make an impact. The rain had kicked in again, just after my final, they shut the meeting down, covered the track up and most people ran for cover. Kyle did a victory run in his boxers. He later went out on his bike with helmet and gloves and played in the puddles.

17/05 Double A Marketing Race Report
Double A Marketing press release
ABA Great Salt Lake Nationals West Jordan, Utah
Round 10 of the 2005 ABA Pro Series was held this past weekend at the Rad Canyon BMX track in Jordan, Utah. One of the best ABA tracks on the circuit, the Pros look forward to going to Utah each season for some top notch AA Pro race action. This year the race drew in 15 of the worlds best pros, going for the win and the Pros for Double A Marketing once again stood atop the podium when the dust settled. Here is how the Double A Pros who went finished up:

Brandon Meadows has been riding strong at the last few races and just missed out on a AA win at the US Nationals. With a strong showing there, Brandon built up on that momentum and went home, continued his training program and in Utah this past weekend, it paid off. Brandon won the super hard AA Pro class on Sunday. Brandon looks to keep the impressive results coming, as this weekend he will be at the NBL race in Prunedale, CA. Brandon's sponsors include Specialized, Fly Racing, Tangent, Thomson, Shimano, Cyto Sport/Cyto Max, Sun Ringle, Powerbar, and BMXpros.com.

Cristian Becerine impressed a lot of people at the US Nationals a few weeks ago, and did that once again this weekend in Utah. On Saturday, Cristian was in the AA main, but a crash would hold him back to 8th overall for the day. On Sunday, it was a totally different story, as he was going head to head with Brandon for the overall win, and just missed winning AA, and finishing 2nd overall. Cristian's sponsor include Crupi, O'Neal, Answer, UGP, ODI, Sun Ringle, Shimano, Tool Shed, Powerbar, BMXpros.com, Cyto Sport/Cyto Max, and Thomson Seat Posts.

Randy Stumpfhauser has been placing in the top 3 at every race in 2005 so far, and The Great Salt Lake Nationals was another example of that. On Saturday, Randy rode his way into the AA Pro main and finished up 2nd overall for the day. This puts Randy into 2nd place in AA points in the ABA and in perfect positioning for a chance at the ABA title come years end. Randy's sponsors include GT Bicycles, Hyundai, ODI, Kenda Tires, Tangent, Sun Rims, Bombshell Forks, Fly Racing, Time Pedals, SRAM, Powerbar, CTI Knee Braces, Tool Shed, SDG, DC, Easton, S & M, Fox Riders Co Clothing, Cyto Sport/Cyto Max, and BMXpros.com

Double A Marketing proudly represents Cristian Becerine, Kyle Bennett, Dale Holmes, Christophe Leveque, Brandon Meadows, and Randy Stumpfhauser. For more information on any of the riders, or on Double A Marketing, visit www.BMXpros.com

16/05 Date Change: BMXV Interclub Challenge
BMX Victoria Events Management Group press release
The BMX Victoria Events Management Group announced recently that the annual Inter Club Challenge is to be moved from the original date in September to Saturday October 29th. The reason for the change is for the event to be run back to back with the Warrnambool open meeting the following day. The EMG is continuing with its policy of listening to the opinion of riders and their parents. Because of the distance from Melbourne many people voiced their concern that three trips to the same region would be too much. Now riders can ride the Interclub on Saturday then move on to Warrnambool for racing on the Sunday.

11/05 Dirt signs FreeAgent
Dirt Designs press release
Melbourne based FreeAgent riders Shannon Rademaker and Daniel Stocks have had an impressive year so far. Shannon was right up there with the A Pros at Track Attack in January, teaching them you don't need to be a teenager to make the podium. Daniel on the other hand was completely dominating A Pro, and at the time was unsponsored. It was an eye opener for many potential sponsors until FreeAgent quickly snapped him up.
Both riders made their mains at the National championships in Cairns. Shannon finished 6th in the 17 & Over expert men and Daniel finished 2nd in the 16 expert mens class.
Craig Merritt, the head honcho from Australia's leading pads and plate manufacturer, Dirt Designs, was so impress with the duo he's signed them to use Dirt pads and plates.

09/05 BMXUltra heading to Akron this weekend
By Shane Jenkins
The IT industry is a funny field to work in, everything needs to be done right away, which is why I was told I need to pack my bags, leave Melbourne and I would be in Boston for two weeks starting from next Monday.
I couldn't help myself, I thought it was a perfect opportunity to get some racing in while in the 'States. So I looked up the ABA and the NBL web sites to see what nationals are on this weekend. Akron Ohio was "on the way" to Boston. The company I work for have picked up the airfares and my flights are now booked.
This is where I need some help. I'm looking for someone who can help steer me in the right direction, I still need to sort out reasonable accomodation, and car rental for Saturday (I plan to go to Cleveland on Friday morning to check out the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and be back for some practice which starts at 2pm).
If you think you can help out please email webmaster@bmxultra.com.
Things usually run like clockwork around here at BMXUltra.com. I update the site each morning at around 7am, Melbourne time, so you have something new to read each day. Since there will be about 20 hours of flying time to get to Akron, from Melbourne, it might get a little quiet on BMXUltra.com for a couple of days, hopefully only Friday to Monday, but don't worry it will give you a chance to catch up on some of the product reviews and interviews.
If you are at Akron this weekend look out for the BMXUltra.com/One Bicycles jersey (pictured above - click for closer look) and don't forget to say "G'day mate".
Also don't forget to check here for photos after the event.

05/05 Factory Hyper / No Fear / Tangent wins both days at US Nationals
Hyper press release
San Bernardino, California - Rolling into San Bernardino with an ultra-small crew, Hyper team manager TJ Johnson was a little tentative about the team’s chances of taking home wins in the Factory Team competition, the most competitive team division in BMX. Hyper ace 18 Expert Mike Lundy was absent due to family business and 14 Expert Ben Kubalak was out thanks to breaking his foot the day before he was to fly out. To make matters worse, Hyper’s newest pick up, Bobby Edson, was not eligible to be utilized on team sheets due to ABA rules regarding switching teams. With seven eligible riders making the trip, including Jacob Abbe, Chad Kerley, Lahsaan Kobza, Doug Hayes, Alise Post, Warren McDow, and Mike McGonigle, Johnson still had a pretty stout crew to count on. The group came through in spades taking home the Factory team top spot both Saturday and Sunday. “We’ve got a talented team,” stated Johnson. “Even with limited choices on the sheets, when they all do their job, there’s no reason we shouldn’t win.”

Saturday’s mains proved to be stressful for Johnson. 11 Expert standout Chad Kerley got things started with an amazing come from behind victory in 11-12 Open. “The Tiger” was in fourth the entire race behind three Phantom / On Trac riders. Not to be outdone, Kerley turned on the afterburners, pedaled the entire last straight and passed all three riders to take the win at the line. Chad followed it up with a commanding victory in 11 Expert. Jacob Abbe fell behind in 7 Expert and was in fifth coming out of the last turn. Abbe took a cue from his teammate, pedaling the last straight picking off two riders in the process to take a third. 13 Expert Lahsaan Kobza decided to make it a theme for the day and came out of the gate in dead last. Kobza picked off most of the pack into the first turn, coming out in second place. With some great skill and tenacity, Kobza made a diving inside move after landing the double into turn two to pimp On Trac rider Elliott McGrath and take the lead to the finish line. Not to be outdone, Mike “Total Recall” McGonigle, after getting the snap out of the gate, front flipped off the top of the step up on the first straight and pile-drived his shoulder into the dirt. Luckily, Hyper has the most dominant girl in BMX on its roster, Alise “The Beast” Post. With yet another triple to add to her collection, “Miss Automatic” came through to put the team on top for its first ABA “A” Schedule team victory.

With McGonigle out for Sunday, Johnson had to go to Hyper’s ultra-fast 16 Expert Warren McDow for the anchor spot on the team’s number one sheet. It’s no secret that McDow had been struggling in ABA competition, so this was no gimme. McDow had been consistent all weekend however and Johnson was counting on him. Alise Post had a scare down the second straight. After leading to the first turn, Post got caught up in soft dirt at the top of turn one and was passed by two riders. Coming over the second double down the second straight, Post was bumped at the top and flew off the side of the double head first into the ground six feet below. With just a couple of scrapes and bruises, “The Beast” came back and dominated 14 Girls and 14-16 Girls Cruiser with a double for the day, which would prove valuable. Chad Kerley once again dominated 11 Expert and Lahsaan Kobza rocked 13 Expert. Johnson’s team sheet was still on shaky ground however when Jacob Abbe crashed in the last turn of the 7 Expert main. This put all the team’s hopes on Warren Mcdow. With wins from Alise Post, Chad Kerley, and Lahsaan Kobza, it was up to McDow to pull out all the stops. With the likes of David Herman, Josh Oie, Kris Fox, and Joe Sowers on the gate, McDow did just that, pulling a stacked main to the first turn and proceeded to lead it from start to finish. With a grin from ear to ear, McDow couldn’t wait to give his ISTV interview.

Just like that, Hyper grabbed two wins for the weekend and was the first Factory team to double this year. “I’m stoked on the way our riders came through,” stated Johnson. “I put it to them and they delivered.”

The Hyper crew is now looking forward to the ABA’s Spring Nationals in Roseville, California later this month to once again put up some top scores, this time with its whole team in attendance.

04/05 Backyard BMX photos
By Shane Jenkins
I finally got some photos of the backyard track together last night ready to post on the site, but I thought I'd wait for today to put them up. I like to keep the website sponsors informed with what's going on so I sent them an update with a photo, and my good mate Jerry Landrum from BMXMania.com was on the recipient list, because he's hooked me up with Tektro. Anyways he posted the photo before I managed to, but that's cool, I didn't send him the before photo (right).
The deal is this, I was asked by the company I work for if I wanted to do base myself in our Boston office for 3 weeks, they said I could take my bike, so we are trying to schedule the trip so I can get to the ABA worlds in July. My trip hasn't been confirmed yet, but when I was told this I thought I'd better get crackin' with the track and get some big jumps in there so I can work on my skills. There's still a lot of work to do, but it's a good start.

This is for the guys that helped, and anyone else that's interested, I have made two background images for download, one is 800x600 and the other 1024x768, enjoy.

03/05 Intense BMX AA Pro, Jamie Staff places 5th at the ABA US Nationals
Intense press release
Jamie Staff made his first race appearance for Intense BMX an exciting one, as not only was he impressing the fans and crowds at the ABA US nationals this past weekend, but he made the AA Pro main on Saturday, where he finished up 5th place overall. The ABA US Nationals was the biggest national event of the 2005 season and had the world’s top AA Pro racers in attendance, trying to make the 8 man final.

In Jamie’s first BMX race since he raced at the Olympics last year in Athens as well as his first BMX National race in over a year, Jamie stunned the crowd with making the toughest main event of the entire race. Jamie, a past BMX world and national champion, as well as current UCI Track World Champion, was excited to be back at the BMX races and looks forward to hitting more this year. Jamie just missed out making the AA Pro main on Sunday, but will be back on the BMX track in 3 weeks at the NBL Pro series event in Prunedale, CA.

03/05 Double A Marketing Race Report: ABA US Nationals San Bernardino, CA
Double A Marketing press release
Southern California was the birthplace for BMX and each year when the ABA holds the US Nationals, its a showcase of some of the best BMX racing in the world.
Here is how the Double A Marketing riders finished up over the weekend.

Randy Stumpfhauser has had a incredible few weeks. Last week, Randy had a huge win at the NBL National in Las Vegas, then when the new ABA paper and BMX Plus hit the mail boxes, he was on the cover of both. Now this weekend, Randy was one of the fastest riders on the track in San Bernardino, and on Sunday, he took a decisive win in AA Pro. Saturday stated off looking like Randy was going to have a top finish in AA, until a crash in the 2nd and 3rd round of main events put a huge damper on the overall for the day. Randy would finish off 6th for the day. In Pro Cruiser this weekend, Randy finished 2nd both days. Randy's sponsors include GT Bicycles, Hyundai, ODI, Kenda Tires, Tangent, Sun Rims, Bombshell Forks, Fly Racing, Time Pedals, SRAM, Powerbar, CTI Knee Braces, Tool Shed, SDG, DC, Easton, S & M, Fox Riders Co Clothing, Cyto Sport/Cyto Max, and BMXpros.com

Brandon Meadows has been riding extremely well the past month and San Bernardino was the best race of the season for him. On Saturday, Brandon had a strong run in AA Pro and looked to be one of the main players during the day. As the mains unfolded, Brandon got caught up in a crash, keeping him to 4th overall for the day in AA Pro. On Sunday, Brandon rode well again, this time doing one better, with a 3rd overall in AA Pro. Brandon recently decided to race Pro Cruiser, to make up for the loss of Pro Open in the ABA and this weekend went well for his first time on the 24. Brandon placed 3rd both days in Pro Cruiser. Brandon's sponsors include Specialized, Fly Racing, Tangent, Thomson, Shimano, Cyto Sport/Cyto Max, Sun Ringle, Powerbar, and BMXpros.com.

Cristian Becerine is one of the fastest AA Pros down the first strait aways. This was showcased at the US Nationals, as he was consistently out front of the AA Pro pack, and easily made it into the AA Main on Saturday. After the first two mains, Cristian looked like he was going to take the overall win, as he won the 1st two rounds and holeshotted the 3rd Pro main. Unfortunately, Cristian hit a part of the disintegrating first turn, and found himself on the ground, scrambling for his bike and unfortunately loosing the overall win by 1 point. Cristian wound up 2nd overall for the day. Cristian's sponsors include Crupi, O'Neal, Answer, UGP, ODI, Sun Ringle, Shimano, Tool Shed, Powerbar, BMXpros.com, Cyto Sport/Cyto Max, and Thomson Seat Posts.

Double A Marketing proudly represents Kyle Bennett, Cristian Becerine, Dale Holmes, Christophe Leveque, Brandon Meadows, and Randy Stumpfhauser. For more information on any of the riders, or questions abut sponsorship of any of the athletes, please visit www.BMXpros.com.

02/05 Backyard BMX update #3
By BMXUltra.com
We made some real progress on the backyard track yesterday, after things went dormant for a few weeks, but I still got plenty of riding in. A last minute decision to get some work done and a big ring around of the Melbourne tipper hire companies, we had a tipper. Shannon Rademaker also hired a wacker packer so we were all set for a big religious experience spending Sunday honouring the gods of BMX and getting down and dirty track building.
After 7 hours of driving the tipper and covering over 400Kms we moved 35-40 tonne of dirt to build a roll in (starting hill), and widen and lengthen the double jump in the first straight. There will be another large jump put between the hill and the double, soon. The first corner has been doubled, so we now have split corners, a tight inside corner and a nice fast outside line, they both meet again for the second straight which has a small tabletop, then a medium table top and a large double with a huge kicker, this then goes to a left hand berm and 3 piles of dirt to start the third straight, which need to be shaped, but will be the start of a technical rhythm section with lots of choices. At the end of the third straight we have dumped another load of dirt that will be a kicker to send you back onto the first corner backwards just for a little variety. There have been a lot of extra take off ramps built on the sides of jumps and even the start hill to mix things up a little and allow a little transfer action.
Thanks to Shannon, and Evan for the hard work you guys did will I was driving, and thanks to my bro Bryce who made a nice contribution to the truck hire.
Photos soon, I promise.
