There isn't a great deal you can write about an ordinary seat post, but the Pazzaz MX-261 far from ordinary.
Sure at first it looks just like a standard one piece seat post/clamp set-up. Don't kid yourself, there's nothing standard about it. The CNC machined Alloy 6061 head has easy to get to front and rear bolts for vice-like clamping of the seat rails and for the adjustment of the seat angle, allowing the smallest of adjustments.
The post itself is made from 2014 alluminium tubing, making it an extremely light weight (total weight is 220g) but yet still a very strong post, to test the strength I bounced on it a few times and there was little flex under my 'excess' weight. To finish off the post, Pazzaz have applied a slick black finish with markers most of the way up the post so you can see just how far it is up or down. A great idea for those who crank up the seat height for cruising/training and put it down again for racing.
The SP-964 seat post comes in a range of diameters; 27.0, 27.2, 28.6, 30.0, 31.6 and 31.8.
