So Santa, I know Christmas is still a few months away, but I spotted this Samsung Gear 360 and got a serious nerd-on, so I thought I’d get in early to make sure you don’t forget me on the big day.

So this sucker can shoot video through 2 lenses, the front and rear each capture 180 degrees horizontally and vertically, apparently creating a seamless and complete 360 degree field of view. I’ll overlook the fact that somewhere in that view there would be a mount of some sort, because, hey, it’s still pretty freakin’ impressive.

Apparently this thing can record in high resolution. 3840 x 1920 video and 25.9 MP photos.

It’s also nice that it’s dust and splash resistant.

So Santa check out this video, grab the display area and move it around while the video is playing, and tell me that wouldn’t be awesome for capturing BMX riding and racing footage.

Santa, I know I have an iPhone and not a Samsung phone but from what I hear you can still connect the Gear 360 to an iPhone.
