The Rizen Tachyon Pro MK2 race pants are true to the word when they say slim fit, so if you are looking for a loose fit you are going to have to go up a size. It’s worth noting that the sizing is very accurate. My Rizen size is exactly the same as my Levi jeans.

With the tapered leg you can be confident you’ll never catch your pants in your chain, no matter how hard you try. Talking about the legs, there is a stretch material mesh that runs up the back of the leg to keep you cool on those hot days.

The one thing that I noticed was different with other pants in the Rizen logos are 3D rubber rather than printed into the pants. They look great, and months after I first started wearing the pants they look as good as they did when I took them out of the packaging.

Last Words

The Rizen Tachyon Pro MK2 race pants are a comfortable race pant that offers a full range of movement. While the material does feel a little thicker than other pants on the market (which you don’t notice when racing) they are well ventilated, vibrant colours and durable.

I’ve been using mine for a while now, for both racing and training and I haven’t been able to fault them. They are well worth checking out if you are in the market for some new race pants.

• The Rizen Tachyon Pro MK2 pants aren’t the cheapest on the market, but they are far from the most expensive. What they do offer is high end quality and features at a lower price point. Remember that saying “you get what you pay for”? Well with these feature packed pants you can expect a little more for your money.
• As I mentioned earlier the material feels a little heavier than some other pants, but it works with the ventilation and stretch panels to provide an unrestricted, full range of movement and protection from the inevitable falls.
• The Rizen Tachyon Pro MK2 pants are a great race pant that ticks all the boxes.
• The Tachyon MK2 looks great, the large number of vibrant colour options would have you covered when looking to find at match for your favourite jersey.
