The wait is almost over. The 2026 UCI BMX Racing World Championships kick off in Brisbane, Australia, next week, the 16th of July. They will be bringing the world’s fastest riders to the iconic Brisbane BMX Centre at the Sleeman Sports Complex, Australia’s elite training facility and the home of the 1989 BMX World Championships.

For Australian BMX fans, this is a rare opportunity to witness one of the sport’s biggest event on home soil. Elite World Championship classes will kick off the event, followed by the challenge classes that will all be decided over an action-packed week.

Over 2,200 riders from around the globe are expected to compete, making Brisbane the centre of the BMX world throughout the championships week.
