Marcus Christopher Wins X Games Gold and Silver in Japan on His Supercross Passion
Supercross Factory rider takes first in Men’s BMX Park and second in Dave Mirra Park Best Trick at MoonPay X Games Chiba 2026, both on his 20.5″ Passion

APPLE VALLEY, Calif. — July 6, 2026 — Supercross BMX Factory Team rider Marcus Christopher won two medals this past weekend at MoonPay X Games Chiba 2026 in Japan: Gold in Stake Men’s BMX Park and Silver in Stake BMX Dave Mirra Park Best Trick. He rode both events on his 20.5″ Supercross Passion.
The Park win is the second X Games gold of Christopher’s career, following his Ventura 2024 victory, and brings his career total to eight X Games medals. In the Dave Mirra Park Best Trick final, he took Silver with a flair triple downside tailwhip, a trick that had never been done before. Both results also scored points for X Games Club Los Angeles, the team that picked Christopher in the first X Games League draft this spring.
The weekend caps a strong first half of 2026 for the Hartville, Ohio rider, who joined the Supercross Factory Team in March. Since then he has won the 2026 BMX Freestyle national title, taken his first UCI BMX Freestyle World Cup victory, and climbed to #5 in the UCI Park Men Elite world ranking. Christopher finished fourth in BMX Freestyle Park at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games and is building toward Los Angeles 2028.
“Marcus is the real deal,” said Supercross BMX founder Bill Ryan. “Gold and Silver in one weekend, with a trick nobody has ever done, on the frame we built for exactly this. We’re proud to have him carrying the Passion at the highest level of the sport.”
And there’s more coming. This winter, Supercross will release a full line of Marcus Christopher colorways in the Passion, along with a complete Passion built the way Marcus rides his.
Christopher rides the Passion, Supercross’s street and park freestyle frame, with a 20.5″ top tube. The Passion is available now at supercrossbmx.com.
