The End of an Era: ECI Calls Time After 30 Years
After 30 years in the Australian BMX industry, Elite Cycle Imports (ECI) has announced that it will be winding down its wholesale operations, allowing owners Gary and Moni to retire.
It marks the end of a significant chapter in Australian BMX. For three decades, ECI has been a major force behind the distribution of some of the biggest names in the BMX industry, helping bring quality products to bike shops, riders, teams and BMX communities across the country.
ECI has also been a long-time supporter of BMX racing and the wider BMX community, including bmxultra.com, and we’ve been fortunate to work alongside them and share their passion for the sport over the years.
There’s no doubt the closure of ECI will leave a sizeable hole in the Australian BMX industry. Companies that stick around for 30 years, support the sport and consistently put products into the hands of riders don’t come along very often.
As ECI put it themselves, “It’s the end of an era.”
But before Gary and Moni officially close the book, there’s one final opportunity to grab a bargain.
ECI Retirement Clearance
ECI is clearing its remaining stock with massive discounts across the range. If you’ve been waiting for a bargain, now is the time.
Once it’s gone, it’s gone.
From all of us at bmxultra.com, congratulations to Gary and Moni on an incredible 30 years in BMX, and best wishes for a well-earned retirement and the next chapter.

End of an Era SALE
Dear Customers & Dealers,
After 30 fantastic years in the Australian BMX industry, Moni and I have made the decision to retire and begin the next chapter of our lives.
Following on from our two children finding the sport of BMX Racing we saw a hole in the market after the closure of PRM so…..Our journey began in the 1990s with just $380 worth of products purchased from Maxxim in Redcliffe, QLD, starting Total BMX through Track Side Trading at a Knox BMX Club event. From there, we travelled Australia in our 30-foot coach/bus, trading and racing, before opening the Total BMX store in Lilydale, Victoria and later establishing Elite Cycle Imports (ECI).
Over the years, ECI grew to 11 staff and two large warehouses, allowing us to pursue our dream of supporting BMX clubs, teams, stores and riders across Australia.
We are incredibly proud of what we have achieved and, more importantly, grateful for the amazing people we have met and relationships we have built along the way.
THE RETIREMENT SALE HAS BEGUN!
As we begin winding down ECI, we will be clearing a large amount of stock through the ECI BMX web store with MASSIVE retirement sale prices – some of the cheapest prices we have ever offered!
NEVER-TO-BE-SEEN-AGAIN PRICES
WHILE STOCKS LAST! ONCE IT’S GONE, IT’S GONE!
We will be adding and clearing stock throughout the sale, so if you’ve had your eye on something, don’t wait!
Finally, Moni and I would like to say a MASSIVE THANK YOU to every customer, dealer, supplier, rider, team and friend who has supported us throughout this incredible 30-year journey.
It has been one hell of a ride, and we wouldn’t have wanted to do it any other way!
Now it’s time for us to slow down, enjoy life, spend more time with family and friends, and see what the next chapter brings.
From the bottom of our hearts – THANK YOU!
Gary & Moni
