ANSWER BMX Launches New Carve Tire Line
ANSWER BMX is excited to announce the debut of their new line of high end BMX race tires just in time for the USA BMX Grands in Tulsa OK in two weeks. After nearly two years of engineering, development, testing, and finally production, the CARVE tires are finally ready to hit the market at what has traditionally been known as the Biggest Race in the World. With the help of Rennen Design engineer George Costa, the CARVE line of tires feature an aggressive tread pattern for maximum grip and traction while keeping rolling resistance to an absolute minimum and a true sizing at max tire pressure to ensure a correct gear ratio roll out. Rubber compound is also a key element to endure various types of track surfaces and conditions. Weight of the tires were also taken into consideration in keeping with the ANSWER BMX tradition of producing lightweight but strong and durable products. The weight of the 20×1.5” tire is only 281 grams. John Sawyer of ANSWER BMX states, “We took our time and really looked at the all the details in developing these tires because we had to make sure they were up to the high standards of our other ANSWER BMX products. The feedback we’ve gotten from our Elite Factory riders that have been testing them for the past 6 months has been phenomenal and we believe these tires will be difference maker on the track where every inch and every second matters.”
The CARVE line up will be comprised of 8 different sizes for both 20” and 24” bikes (1-1/8”, 1-3/8”, 1.4”, 1.5”, 1.6”, 1.85”, 1.95”, and 2.125”) although only 20” x 1.85” and 20” x 1.60 will be available in Tulsa for the initial shipment. The high pressure tires (85-100PSI) are Kevlar beaded foldable.
