Trivia

  • USA Invasion: SE’s Jeremy Rommell, GT’s Tyler Brown and Clayborn’s Shealan Reno will be competing this week at the Pre titles and the final round of the Australian National Series. It’s the first time that USA riders have been invited to the Australia National Championships since Gary Ellis and Clint Miller came to the 1984 Championships in Byford Western Australia. Miller went on to win with Ellis taking second. This time around though National Championship events are only open to riders from the host country.
  • BMXMania’s Jerry Landrum has also been imported from the US for the event.
  • The Big Show is missing a few heavy hitters. Australia’s high performance riders are exempt from competing this year. The names include what is likely to be Australia’s BMX Olympic team; Sam Willoughby, Anthony Dead, Bodi Turner, Caroline Buchanan and Lauren Reynolds.
