And so December is here just like that…apparently 2016 is too. Wow! I’ve been at this website for a long time now and here I am still at it.

When I started bmxultra.com in December 1996 there weren’t a whole lot of BMX websites at the time, there were no Aussie magazines, finding information about BMX racing was near impossible. It was a dark time for BMX racing, numbers were at an all time low.

I was in the IT industry, consulting, a jack-of-all-trades and looking to carve a niche for myself, so I took to internet technologies and started up a little old website to get my feet wet, so to speak. There was no real plan for the website, the only focus was to provide as much information as possible and get more bums on seats my way. A couple of stumbles here and there and we found a comfortable spot in the BMX industry.

To celebrate our twentieth anniversary I’ll be going back through some of our highlights from the past 20 years through the month of December. I hope you enjoy the trip down memory lane as much as I do.
