Things were a little quiet here last week because I’ve been working on the Go BMXing Day Ride Spot Locator.

It’s a nice little tool that is still in it’s infancy, and will take some time to get into full swing, but we think it will be totally worth it.

If you don’t find it useful, because it doesn’t include your area, make sure you lend a hand and submit your favourite riding spots.

We wanted to add something to our site that would set GoBMXingDay.com aside from others. A riding spot locator seemed like the most logical choice, since Go BMXing Day is all about getting people riding. Sure there are locators out there, but we intend to make this the most comprehensive and useful locator for BMXing available!

Riding spots include

• Race tracks
• Skate parks
• Pump tracks
• Dirt jumps
• Bike shops (who specialise in BMX) just in case you run into trouble while you are out riding

The plan

The intention is to roll out the locations first and come back to each location filling out the details as we get to them. This might include photos, video, a description, additional links to facebook or official sites. We are in Australia so you may see Australia fill out first and other areas as contributors come on board.

We need your help

We are looking for contributors! We realise that we have a lot of work ahead of us, and will be the first to admit we will need help. After all, the locations don’t just enter themselves.

If you keen to help out we would love to hear from you. Even if it’s a list of addresses (bare minimum) for your favourite local riding spots.
