Kink’s new hidden Pivotal seat/post system
Freestyle giants Kink Bike Co have put a new spin on the Pivotal seat and post system, referred to as the Hidden Pivotal System or Stealth Pivotal.
Essentially it’s close to the standard Pivotal system that’s changed the industry and nearly completely done away with railed seats forever.
The major differences are
- The seat is done up from the Pivotal seat bolt underneath the seat using a 5mm allen key
- The top of the Pivotal post has a threaded hole just to the front of the seat
- There’s no need for the “key hole” patch on top of the seat
The seat is called the Kink Stealth Pivotal seat and looks quite odd for a Pivotal seat.
While there are a number of Kink Stealth seat post options available they are all 25.4mm, so it will be a while before we see any racers adopt the system.
Will the hidden Pivotal system be as revolutionary as Alienation’s Slider seats which allow you additional forward and backward adjustment? Maybe not but it’s opening up a new world of possibilities and even more unique and comfortable seats.
