Product Spotlight: Calculated VSR Low Ball Limited top load stem
Calculated VSR have a new low slung top load stem with all the same features of the Fat Mouth stem.
Somewhere around 2019 Calculated VSR released the Fat Mouth Stem, a top load stem that was a little different to others, it was different, very different. Offering a much wider clamping area for a standard 22.2″ handlebar which offers greater stiffness and greater clamping power.
I noticed this week that Calculated have released a new stem, the Low Ball. It’s still a top load stem and features the same wider clamping area of the Fat Mouth but it’s lower, much, much lower, following the current trends of lowering the front end for a better snap and better accelleration.
There are two variants of the Low Ball Limited stem, there’s the X Series and the Hexagon Series, which are the same stem but with different designs, the Hexagon series looks the lighter of the two with a lot more aluminium cut away from the stem cap and body. If you are looking for a super stiff stem to lower your bars, make sure you check out the Calculated VSR Low Ball Limited stem.
