Product Spotlight: E6 Racing Components Ultra Light Race Seat/Post Combo

Seat and post combos aren’t new to BMX racing, they have been around almost as long as the sport itself, but their seems to be a rebirth of sorts with the weight weenies and factory mums & dads looking for the edge over the competition.

E6, famous for their Silencer carbon rims, have just announced their entry to the market and they are claiming it at the lightest seat on the market. How does it compare to others? The Tioga D-Spyder EVO saddle with a 27.2 seat post weighs 125 grams. E6 claim their standard Pro seat and post weigh 115 grams, and it has a longer post. Their smaller seats are even lighter and come in a wider range of post sizes including; 27.2, 25.4 and 22.2. Worth a look if you are wanting to drop weight on your ride.

Manufacturer’s Description

E6 introduces the plastic nylon Injected mold seat with a carbon seat post.  This is the lightest seat on the market.

The Pro seat is offered in two seat sizes standard, and X-Lite.   The Pro X-Lite seat is a smaller seat for riders that are looking to save every gram possible.  The Pro X-Lite seat is the same seat used on the 22.2 and 25.4 mini seat combos.
