Product Spotlight: IRC Siren Comp Tire
IRC’s Siren Comp tire uses the same tire pattern as the Siren Pro, but it’s available in more sizes, it’s lighter and cheaper than the Siren Pro.
IRC have had a lot of success with the Siren Pro tubeless ready tires, but they were available in limited sizes (20×1.75 and 20×1.95) and they were a little on the heavier side when it comes to race tires.
There’s not a lot of information available on the Siren Comp, but cheaper, lighter and more size options will be exciting enough for many BMX racers.
How much lighter you ask? The Siren Comp 20×1.75 weighs in at 295 grams compared to the Siren Pro of the same size that weighs 340 grams. We can only assume this is due to the Pro being a tubeless compatible tire, which requires a thicker wall to eliminate sealant seepage.
