Although the “Euro” bottom bracket shell is still the most popular in BMX racing today, frame manufacturers have dabbled in other BB shells looking for a competitive edge. GTs have been coming out with BB30 for some time. The Haro Carbon frame has BB86. Redline’s R7 frame has a BB92. And there are some others heading down the same way.

I’ve seen people with these frames either have to use an adapter to fit a euro bottom bracket in their frame or just run with whatever cranks they can get their hands on that fit, which is usually quite a limited range.
