PROTRACKS BMX: 2015 World Championships wrap!

2015 UCI BMX World Championships ended. ProTracks had the opportunity to be the official designer and builder of the track on which more than 3,300 riders proudly defended their country’s colors in this top-level competition.

The design / building of this track took more than two years of an intensive work closely with the organizer and more specifically Gil de Vis, the Belgium National coach, Chris Jacobs and the Zolder BMX Club which owns now every conditions to rise on the international stage.

While designing, we had to keep in mind to make this track spectacular and challenging, from start to finish line, and moreover a track that can highlight every required piloting qualities.

It was very important for us to make it possible for the female category riders to make the difference technically speaking thanks to two first straights challenging and more generally for every riders to overtake at any time.

This was a two-step building with two test events (Enduro Rounds) which led to some changes in the obstacles and the choice of a coating that meets high weatherability. No, this is not Soiltac!

We would like to thank Gil de Vis, Marc Wouters, UCI, Chris Jacobs and the Club for their complete confidence. Thanks too to everyone for their marks of sympathy and their constructive criticism. ProTracks is still a young company that develops every week.

I would like thank personally my great team, Yann Bonici – the team leader and the one who imagined the two last straights of Zolder track and chose decisively the coating, and Martin Vandenbussche, Nico Bonne and Tony Lambert for their intervention.

We hope that you had a great time, even if you crashed, on this track.
The next big event will be the European Championships in Verona, in an incredible arena.
