Ssquared Bicycles regrets to announce that their previously announced licensing agreement to distribute a line of titanium small sized frames under the Ssquared brand name is no longer going to happen. An applicable licensing agreement between Ssquared Bicycles and Charlie Jahnke, producer of the titanium line of frames, could not be reached between the two parties thus ending Ssquared Bicycles involvement in the venture.

“We were initially excited to help Charlie distribute and sell the titanium frames into the market and in turn raise financial support for Jim Buchanan’s 2015 Golden Crank Team of the Year, Ssquared ANSWER Factory team. However, Charlie had different ideas of how he wanted the sales channels to be navigated and it simply will not work with our current business model. It’s unfortunate as we were willing to help out and promote the titanium line as much as possible but we cannot be put in a position where we had no control over the product and process with our brand name on it” stated Ryan Birk of Ssquared Bicycles. “At this time, we are uncertain if Charlie will continue his titanium frame venture under a different brand name, but we do know it will not be utilizing the Ssquared Bicycles logo or name. Our involvement was simply to be involved in the sales and marketing of the frame line and help generate sponsorship funding for the team. I am sorry we are no longer going to be able to help do that but we cannot put ourselves in a situation where we had no involvement or brand protection” added Birk.

Ssquared Bicycles would also like to announce that it is continuing on its sponsorship partnership with Jim Buchanan’s Ssquared ANSWER Factory Team for 2016 season and look forward to supporting the team in their effort to win another Golden Crank Award and much sought after USA BMX Factory Team title.
