Supercross Announce 35 Year Anniversary SX250 6 Bar Supercross Frame
Bill Ryan from over at Supercross just shot us some details on the upcoming 35 Year Anniversary SX250 6 Bar Frame/Fork release.
What’s new about the SX250 you ask? I get it, they have done a couple of runs now. This time it’s different. This time the SX frames will feature the original shaped dropouts and all three sizes will be made of Reynolds tubing with just 35 pieces of each size they will be super limited. What sizes? Well there’s 20″ Pro XXL, 26″ and 29″. The launch date is 5th July 2024. We’re sure if the past versions of the SX250 are anything to go by these will be snapped up very quickly.

In the next 2 weeks, we are going to be debuting the new 35 year anniversary sx250 6 bar supercross frame… now while a few may say, yeah, so what, Supercross dropped 30 of them for the 30 year anniversary using Tange Prestige Tubing, and then we dropped the cruisers with Reynolds tubing for the 33 year anniversary, but now for the 35 year anniversary we are dropping the 20” pro XXL , the 26” and the 29”, all built out of Reynolds Air Hardened Tubing, and limited to 35 pcs per size and all in show chrome plated.
What’s extra special this time is that we went back into the old dies and pulled out the template for the original SX250 dropout which hasn’t been used since 1999, truly the last century, 25 years ago, and had that dropout laser cut out of 1/4” thick cro-mo for these frames to give these frames an extra bit of authenticity.
Eagle eyed people may of seen serial #1 of this new SX250 at the 2024 DirtyFest 2 the ultimate BMX fun festival being track tested by none other than our own Camel Joe – Josh Randall who was shredding the old school track on what former Supercross BMX rider Todd Anderson said was his “bmx chrome”.
The 20” and the 26” will use V brakes, while the 29” is Disc exclusive , so even though this is the second time we have done a cro-mo 29” SX250, this is unique from the last run as there are fewer in this production as there are only 35 made and it is Disc brake exclusive. The 20” version also unique where it is the first time we have built the SX250 20” in Reynolds Air Hardened Triple Butted Cro-mo , and it is limited to 35 pcs world wide… the 26” version, well this is the second time we are building it in Reynolds, but the first time with the original dropouts and again limited to 35 pcs.
So if you are looking for a limited production, Dirtyfest fun tested, Camel Joe approved BMX chrome to hit the track, the trails or the next ride out… I think we have one that will make you the ENVY of all your friends…
Launch date…. 7/5/2024
Available as a Chassis Kit – Frame, Fork, Headset…
