The Red Bull R.Evolution ran for just two years at Mellow Park in Berlin.

It was supposed to turn BMX on it’s head allowing the Elite Trax crew to work outside the normal UCI Supercross rules and regulations.

It was by far the most interesting race to watch even though it didn’t quite pull all the heavy hitters, but it wasn’t far off.

I realise the track was a part of last years UCI Supercross series, but what happens now? Elite Trax has lost it’s sandpit to build things you wouldn’t see every day. Does that mean that Supercross BMX won’t progress at such a rapid rate?

Maybe it would make for a bigger event if it was shifted to US soil, maybe not? I say BMX needs the Red Bull R.Evolution.
