The announcement comes just weeks before Buchanan is set to compete at the BMX World Championship from July 23 – July 27 in Rotterdam, Holland, where she will defend her reigning title and attempt her sixth World Championship win.

Buchanan, a music lover at heart, is passionate about the Monster brand which has not only supported her career, but also helped her gear up to important moments. Whether she’s training for her next event, about to hit the track, or simply relaxing between races, Buchanan champions the latest Monster products and technologies every day.

Buchanan is no stranger to such praise, earning accolade and world-wide recognition from a young age. Currently ranked first in the Women’s World Cup 2014 Circuit, the 23-year-old Australian has earned the Australian Female Mountain Bike Rider of the Year award three unique times and has won 16 national titles across both junior and senior divisions, winning her first at just ten years old.

In 2013, Buchanan dominated the Australian Cyclist of the Year Awards winning the Sir Hubert ‘Oppy’ Opperman Medal and Trophy, and officially making history as the third women in history to claim the prestigious award – along with both the Elite Female Mountain Biker and Cyclist of the Year Award and the SBS People’s Choice Award.

Buchanan brings the same passion and drive that has moulded her into a world-recognised BMX athlete to her own personal causes. She has dedicated her spare time to create Team BUCHANAN NextGen, a cause dedicated to assisting young girls in qualifying for BMX World Championships.
