I’ve just come to the realisation that it’s March…2016…bmxultra.com’s 20 Year celebration is just 9 months away. When I started bmxultra.com alllll those years ago I had no idea that I would be at it still nearly 20 years later.

The website has managed to achieve many things over the years. It’s been able to stay ahead of the curve and most importantly remain relevant.  We’ve covered numerous events around Australian and the odd event in North America, there’s been world cups, and world championships. We’ve watched a lot of amazingly talented riders come and go, and we even managed to interview some of them. Sadly we’ve watched the fall of many great magazines. It was the lack of Australian magazines and poor communications from the sports governing body in Australia that lead to the birth of bmxultra.com all those years ago.

The past few years we kicked it up a knotch releasing our own Gear Calculator iPhone/iPad app. Changed our site to make the information more accessible regardless of your device. We’ve been tinkering with video content, and will continue to do so. Heck we even have a collaboration jersey with Planett. Our focus has changed over the years, I guess you could say it’s narrowed somewhat. We are very interested in racing related products and how our sport is evolving through new demands, and of course new theories, technologies,  and manufacturing techniques. I believe this comes across loud and clear in or updates and product reviews.

We are planning some limited edition commemorative products to be released in the later half of the year as well as a small celebration. Most importantly we are committed to continue bringing you original and interesting content for years to come.
