The Hi Tech Story

Manufacturer’s Description

Before there was Supercross BMX, there was a little known company, Hi-Tech.  It was the dream of a BMX kid that was 13 years old and his buddies. We convinced VDC to build 25 pcs for us.

Well now, 40 years later, we are doing a reunion of types. We built up 40-20″ Pro XXL Frame Kits , 40- 26″ Pro XL cruisers -and Thats it!

If you didn’t get one of them in 1981/1982, here is your chance.
Each model is serialized up to 40, as we’re only releasing 40 of each size.  And from your serial number, you can tell what number yours is.

All frames will have the Hi Tech Decals. Which the 1981 Models never had as we could never afford to do a full production run on the decals, so we made one-off Hand Cut Single Color Decals. These frames have professionally printed 3 color decals on 3m Moto Material for vibrant color and durability.

Colors are Triple Show Chrome, or Gloss Black.

Available sizes are Pro XXL ( 21.75″ TT ) and the 26″ Pro XL Cruiser ( 22.75″ TT )

Full Heat Treated post-weld construction, utilizing Reynolds 753 and Reynolds 553 Air hardened Butted tubing. Campy® Style Integrated Headtube, CNC Machined Euro BB shell,  and the infamous pierced top tube juncture with built in Seat post clamp!. So Pro! All the way to the Neck!
