Profile’s Column cranks have been marketed as a freestyle crank. I’ve heard people refer to them as the freestyle version of the Profile Elite Crank, and with the 22mm spindle the comparison is clear. However if you want a simpler and cheaper version of the Elite cranks the Profile Columns can be configured for race with the Elite Outboard Bottom Bracket and Spline Drive Spider to make a pretty mean and  strong crank set.  Keep your eye out on a bmxultra.com review of this exact configuration, coming real soon.
