Prostart Portable Gate Max Now Available

Our friends over at Prostart officially launched their biggest practice gate yet. The Max, or as it’s officially known “portable gate Max”.

We’ve had a pre release version here at bmxultra.com HQ for a couple of months now, which is very close to the final product. We love that it doesn’t have the added weight and noise of a compressor and it’s such a simple rider triggered gate anyone could operate it.

The Max is a major step in the evolution of BMX practice gates and it dwarfs the original gate that Prostart have been producing since 2007.

The two piece design has now been finalised it can be set up or packed away in under a minute and you can see from the photos just how portable it is.

While the Prostart Portable Gate Max offers more flexibility and is perfect for larger riders and a larger range of bikes the Prostart’s Original practice gate is perfectly fine if you are looking for a portable gate for 20″ and 24″ bikes with a small footprint that folds neatly away into a bag.

The MAX portable gate is OUR new portable gate product ! We presented the first prototype during the Word Championships in Nantes, FRANCE in July 2022. After many and many developments and tests, we are very proud about the purpose of this gate ! This LARGER, LONGER gate with a BETTER & STRONGER conception is steadier and more comfortable than the Original Gate. Thanks to its double electro-magnet, this gate model can be used with mountain bike up to 29 inches, a good way to diversify your training !

Strengths of the MAX Portable Gate

Gate is composed at 100% of Aluminium to become a very light and stiff product.
With a thickness of 7mm and dual magnets, the door has been designed to resist from 6 years old kids to professional Elite / heavy riders.
With a total weight of 20kg, we have designed a portable gate in two parts to ease assembly and disassembly.
The gate featured eight rubber pads which allow it to be stable and stick to any surface.
The gate is equipped with high-quality grip that long lasting and will hold perfectly any rider wheels
Both side bars are made from stainless steel and will never bend
Flexibility to change the timing of the cadence to improve gate skills and allows the rider to adapt easily to any track.
Possibility to change the waiting time between button pressed and beginning of the voice cadence. (Default time : 3 seconds) up to 10 seconds
Gate delivered in a robust cardbox for a safe transportation
Speaker located directly under the rider for a perfect sound diffusion. The volume is adjustable up to a max 96dB.
Separated freestanding 4-lamp LED light
Timing plug to connect to the Prostart timing system.
Supplementary plug available to connect one extra MAX portable gate or two Extra ORIGINAL portable gate. (Not possible to add Gate-Hub)(This gate is too big to have a wheeled bag. You have to keep the robust cardboard or fine locally a box that can protect the gate)
