The Ultimate BMX Vehicles
Many of us get by with our everyday cars to get to the races, some with a trailer, others with a bike rack to get a little more space inside the car. I’m a little paranoid when it comes security so I’ve always packed my bikes(s) inside my little Ford Focus that’s now done over 350,000 kms and many of them have been for BMX. But there are some real dream vehicles around, we’ll list just a few, but are quite sure there are a tonne of them out there.
“Crushed Corolla” from the 2013 Toyota Dream Build Challenge
The Crushed Corolla was a concept car that was on display at the SEMA car show.
BMX rider Drew Bezanson teamed up with Skull Candy to transform the N Charlotte Toyota Corolla into the ultimate BMX vehicle. Titled the “Crusher Corolla”, it’s inspired by BMX and music to be fun and functional. This custom-built Toyota Corolla includes grind rails on the front and rear, a rack that mounts two bikes and rally wheels. You can also find bike tools and a pair of speakers when you open the trunk.

Ford Transit Connect Wagon for 2014 SEMA
We’ve featured this beast before, but absolutely love it and thought we’d give it another run. You won’t find a BMX Vehicle more jam packed with goodies than this. Check out Tim Strange from Strange Motion Rod & Custom as he walks you around the 2014 Ford Transit Connect Wagon that Strange Motion built for the 2013 SEMA show in Las Vegas.
The Infamous SE BMX Bus
I’m not sure that you would call this the ultimate BMX vehicle, but it certainly has made its place in BMX history. The bus seems to be making a bit of a come back, at least in my part of the world, though I think today’s buses have more space and mod cons and a whole lot less BMXers to fight over beds with.
In 1977, the SE Racing team launched the first BMX promotional tour across the country with their “All Star Team.” In 1981, the team traveled the country in the infamous camouflage painted school bus. They hosted BMX clinics, dominated BMX nationals, and made their presence known all across the US. Over the years, SE sponsored some of the best Pro and Amateur BMXers out there. Riders such as: Perry Kramer, Stu Thomsen, Greg Hill, Toby Henderson, Brian Lopes, Eric and Robbie Rupe, Jeff Utterback, Rod Beckering, Darryl Young, Chris Sanchez, and Bubba Hayes. All of these riders helped to create the most legendary BMX team in the history of the sport. There are more SE riders in the BMX Hall of Fame than any other team in history! – http://www.pkripperheaven.com/pkripperhistory.htm
Colony x Type 2 Detectives 1965 VW Type 3 Squareback panel van
This is more my style, a bit of a dream machine, although probably not practical for road tripping it would be a whole lot of fun.
