Now here’s something we’ve been waiting for. The details for the Sunbury Open, which for us kicks off the racing in Victoria for the 2013-2014 season.

Racing is on Sunday 1 September and the gate drops at 10:00am.

$1000 pro men
$700 pro women
$300 30+ open wheel

The Sunbury open is a non-transponder event.

We were down at the Sunbury track a couple of weeks ago and thought it was in pretty good condition only to find out that the committee have planned to totally resurface the track in time for the event. That on top of a new starting hill and gate will mean that the Sunbury track will be totally ready to race. Hard and fast!
