BMX VICTORIA ANNOUNCES JOSH CALLAN AS THE NEW VICTORIAN STATE TEAM COACH FOR 2013/14

BMX Victoria is delighted to announce the appointment of Josh Callan as the BMX Victoria State Team Coach. Josh brings 15 plus years of knowledge and experience to help Victoria become the leading state in BMX performance.

Josh joins BMXV with a wealth of previous coaching experience– ranging from private and club coaching here in Victoria to assisting Wade Bootes, National Head Coach – High Performance, Cycling Australia. As a member of the Redline Factory team, Josh has also had the opportunity to assist with the Redline Coaching Clinics throughout the US.

Josh, a previous member of the Victorian State Team himself, is a current member of the BMX Australia (‘BMXA’) National High Performance Program & Victorian Institute of Sport (‘VIS’) scholarship holder and has recently returned from the World Championships in Auckland NZ with a World #6 plate in Elite Men.

Three Regional Assistant Coaches and a State Team Manager will soon be appointed to work directly with Josh in managing an exciting new look State Team. The line up for the 2013/14 State Team will be announced shortly, followed by more opportunities for state representation with a newly formed State Development squad.

BMX Victoria would like to thank outgoing State Team Coach, Tony Harvey, for his hard work and achievements over the past few years and wish him well with his future successes.
