Product Spotlight: Legend “Pistol Pete” Sig. Frame
Product Spotlight: Legend Bike Co “Pistol Pete” Loncaravich Signature Frame.
Somehow the release of the Legend Bike Co “Pistol Pete” signature LRP race frame slipped under my radar, or maybe it’s just one of BMX’s best kept secrets. Either way, this thing is seriously cool.

The LBC Pistol Pete LRP is a modern-day chromoly masterpiece that blends old school BMX styling with modern race performance. At first glance the throwback details grab your attention immediately — the classic looptail rear end, dual downtubes and retro-inspired styling all give it a timeless look that feels straight out of BMX’s golden era.
But don’t mistake this for a nostalgia-only showpiece. Underneath the vintage styling is modern, race-proven geometry developed with input from Supercross BMX, making this a frame that’s just as capable on the track as it is hanging proudly on the wall of your man cave.
Legend Bike Co have already built a reputation for bringing iconic BMX designs back to life with rideable modern interpretations, including the Eddie Fiola Former Pro frame. The Pistol Pete LRP continues that trend perfectly, delivering another standout frame and fork kit that combines heritage BMX style with today’s performance standards.
Whether you build it into a race bike or keep it as a collector’s dream build, the Pistol Pete LRP is one of those frames that instantly gets BMX fans talking.

Manufacturer’s Description
4× ABA #1 Pro. The frame he built. Back.
In 1983, Pete Loncaravich and his father started a company called LRP — Loncaravich Racing Products. It was one of the first rider-owned brands in the history of BMX racing, and it was shut down by a contract clause when Pete signed with CW Racing later that year. For four decades, LRP existed only as a name on vintage frames that people hunted for at swap meets and kept under glass. Pete never forgot. And now it is back.
The LRP 20″ is Pete Loncaravich’s race frame — built from seamless 4130 cro-mo and designed with the same proven geometry as the Supercross RS7 and Vision F1x, two of the most race-validated BMX chassis in the sport. This is not coincidence. Bill Ryan, who designed the RS7 and the Vision platform, and Pete Loncaravich, who has been racing BMX at the highest level for over four decades, worked on the LRP geometry together. The result is a race frame that has the pedigree of a championship platform and the name of one of the most decorated professionals the sport has ever produced.
Here is the thing that matters most: Pete Loncaravich has been racing his own personal 2026 LRP frame for over a year. This is a 4× ABA National #1 Pro — ranked Number One in 1984, 1986, 1991, and 1992 — a man who knows exactly what a race frame should do and will not get on something that does not deliver. He chose this frame. He races it. He wins on it. That is the only product test that matters.
If you raced BMX in the 1980s and 90s, you raced against Pistol Pete or you raced in his shadow. Now you can ride his bike.
Pro XL or Pro XXL. Two top tube lengths so the geometry fits the rider, not the other way around. Pro XL at 21.25″ for most pros and most adult amateurs. Pro XXL at 21.75″ for the tallest riders who never had a stock frame that fit them right.
